oh the places..bookmarks

So I guess I'm on a bookmark kick these past few days.. did these bookmarks yesterday.. using my Cricut Explore Air 2..and a Cricut pen.. the project is in the Make it Now section of Design Space.. i let the Explore draw on the white side of some scrapbook paper, cut it and then i laminated them.. made a envelope in Design Space to fit the bookmark.. simple easy gift but meaningful.

Faux leather bookmarks

So I just posted about the Cricut faux leather - just made these bookmarks today using it.  Cut some HTV and added to it.

Cricut Faux Leather

Have you seen the new colors that Cricut has in there faux leather?  Have you received a roll in one there Mystery boxes and not known what to do with it? Well here are a few ideas.. and guess what you can use HTV (heat transfer vinyl) on it as well.

These pencil holders are in the Make it Now section of Design Space, so easy to make, and you can personalize them using Cricut's iron on... very easy project.  And you can cut the faux leather with the regular German Carbide blade on the poster board setting, no need for  a deep cut you do need a very sticky mat, preferably the purple mat, I haven't tried yet but maybe a brand new green mat would hold it down, i'll have to try that.

My Cricut Explore Air 2 drew it using my Cricut pens of course :) The Reeses peanut butter eggs are perfect for this project as they have a flat back.

St Patrick day treats for Assisted Living residence

Here is my finished project that I will giving to the residents at the Assisted living on this Sunday..Cricut glitter cardstock is what i used.  Then using my Explore Air 2 i used the print to cut feature..which is when you can take most any image and print it to your home printer and then the Explore will cut it out for you. I used that feature for the hats, turned out really nice i added a hat to each bag giving them an Irish blessing and some Rolo's as a treat.

Been a few months...WOW

Time sure does get away from us doesn't it.. can't believe its been 2 months since i've been on my blog.. i need to do better.  Hope everyones new year has started off to a great start..

I've been busy using my Cricut Explore Air 2.. so many ideas to try out.  Have you seen that Cricut has been having a sale on the Explore Air 2 and the Explore Air and Explore One.. Here's a discount code that you can use to purchase items from the Cricut website and get 15% off and free shipping, accept for the Air 2, doesnt work on that one.  CRICUTLOVERS  is the discount code.  If you need cardstock it's onsale and then take this 15% off makes it great deal.  I stay stocked up, and there glitter cardstock is so pretty, im not even a glitter type person but the colors are so pretty and it cuts so well ive been using it on several things lately. Just ordered some Cricut Iron on Glitter can't wait to put that to use.  Here are some shamrocks that ive cut out of the green glitter cardstock going to be using these to do a project for the assisted living residence that my church goes to once a month, since it'll be March figured id do St Patrick's day theme.. going to use Rolo's as a treat since they are wrapped in gold foil.

When im finished my project i'll post a picture, should get that done over the weekend, at least that is one of my plans :)
